All of my designs and products are entirely made and created in house, in Los Angeles, California. I use genuine Horween Shell Cordovan, which is the finest in the world. As all of my designs arehand-made, you can be assured that you will not receive a mass-produced item, but a product of the highest quality that has gone through at least 40 individual steps during the process. Each one of my straps or cases takes an average of 8 hours from beginning to completion!
In addition to the Shell leather, I use only the finest hardware, snaps, rivets and inner snap covers to complete each product. The same attention to detail which is given to the outside of the item is repeated inside or on the bottom.
Watch Straps:
My watch straps are made of a slightly softer, and more pliable Shell Cordovan hide than my knife sheaths. My design philosophy with the straps is simplicity and the ultimate in comfort. For this reason, I use only (1) layer of Shell Cordovan on several of my watch strap models.
I believe the 3-piece military inspired design to be the most comfortable of any straps available, as your wrist is covered entirely by leather, and not partially exposed to steel.
A special technique I use during the early part of production reduces the bulkiness of the leather, which makes the strap unbelievably soft and pliable. When you place the strap on your wrist for the first time, you’ll get the sense that the strap has already been worn for months and is perfectly broken-in. I’m confident enough to say that once you wear your watch with one of these straps, you will not want to take it off again !
Knife Sheaths:
My
work with sheaths clearly reflects my personal preference for knives,
as I specialize in making sheaths for folding knives, particularly art
and tactical knives, with or without clips. In my approach to making the
finest sheaths money can buy, I try to be as mindful as possible of the
design features of the knife itself, and incorporate design patterns
into the sheaths that will emphasize certain aspects of a given knife,
such as the bolsters, the scales, file work and any other unique aspects
that make a particular knife "special".
Since
each knife is different and unique (especially for non-production
knives), my work is primarily geared towards custom designs, which in
most cases will require the knife to be at hand, when I start the
process of creating a sheath for it.
Depending
on the size of the sheath, I use a different weight Shell Cordovan, in
order to keep the pliable quality consistent with the design or size of
the product. The belt loops are made from the same hide, and match the
thickness and texture of the sheath perfectly.I
use the finest dies, which are non-toxic and eco-friendly to treat the
bottom of each case or strap. Upon completion and before assembly, every
piece is extensively treated for additional water-resistance, softness
and longevity, using only the finest oils and polishing materials.
